Top 10 Story Mode Games for Low-End PC (4GB RAM)
Introduction
Story mode games build a deep connection between us and the characters of the game. My personal favourite story mode games are the ones which allows us to make our own choices to form the story.
However, many modern games requires high-end PCs which makes it difficult for low-end PC gamers to find a good story mode game.
That is why in this post I will share Top 10 of the best story mode games that I have tested myself in my low-end PC.

## 1. Life is Strange
Life is Strange is a story focused game which contains mystery, supernatural events and amazing plot twists. It has one of the most emotional stories of all the games in this list. In Life is Strange your choices have consequences which makes this game even more enjoyable.
Life is Strange not only have good story but it also run very smoothly in low-end PCs. I have personally played this game in my PC which have only 4GB RAM.
## 2. To the Moon
To the Moon is a 2D story driven game which is famous for its story and music. To the Moon also offers simple puzzles but mainly focus on its story element.
To the Moon has very low system requirements it will easily run smoothly in your low-end PC with 4GB RAM.
## 3. The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is set in a Zombie apocalypse where we play as different characters in different seasons of the game starting at season 1 and ending at season 4. The Walking Dead is know for its amazing dark story telling where people are getting killed by not only Zombies but by other people too.
The Walking Dead is my personal favourite story mode game of all time and I almost cried at the end of the game in season 1 and 4. This game worked very well in my low-end PC with 4GB RAM.
## 4. Undertale
Undertale is one of the most famous 2D RPG of all time. not only it contains a great story it also have a turn based combat system. The game gives you secret options where you can either beat your opponent or leave them. And every choice have consequences.
Undertale is a very old game which runs smoothly in low-end PCs without any optimization.
## 5. Firewatch
Firewatch is one of the cult classic story mode game which is set in a forest where the main character works as a fire lookout. I personally liked the visuals of this game the most. This game is super comfy to play if you just want to relax and chill.
Firewatch is also a highly optimized game which works smoothly even on a low-end PC with 4GB RAM.

## 6. Inside
Inside is another 2D game having simple to complex puzzles and a very sad storyline. Inside follows a pattern where the puzzles starts getting tougher as the game progress which makes the game more engaging and enjoyable.
Inside is also a highly optimized game for low-end PCs with 4GB RAM such as mine or maybe yours so, it gives optimal experience for us low-end gamers too.
## 7. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a very beautiful looking sad themed game which focuses on a journey of Two Brothers desperate to find the cure for their sick father. This game offers simple puzzles, a bit of platforming and a beautiful storyline.
Brothers requires a controller to play it. where you have to control both the brothers continuously and progress in the game. This game runs very well in low-end PCs.
## 8. Gris
Gris is a story of a young girl which unfolds as the game progress. The game offers a little bit of platforming, light puzzles and some skill-based challenges. But the game mostly focuses on the story of the young girl.
The game also offers impressive and beautiful visual with a 2D environment. Gris runs on low-end PCs like butter.
## 9. A Short Hike
A Short Hike is a cartoonish looking game with a very amazing story which unfolds as you play the game. In this game our main objective is to climb the mountain but that is not the amazing thing about this game. The amazing thing about this game is the way the story unfolds.
This game contains cartoonish graphics which makes it very less resource demanding. Making it a perfect game for a low-end PC gamer like us.
## 10. Detention
Detention is a very scary and horrifying game with a very dark story. This game is actually very scary and the jump scares and sound effects are very good. I would recommend you to play this game if you are a story and horror lover.
This game is not very resource demanding and works smoothly in any low-end PC with 4GB RAM that too without Graphics card.
Personal Experience
I have tested all of these games in my system and they all worked well. I have even completed some of these games myself including The Walking Dead, Inside, Firewatch and many more. I would definitely recommend you The Walking Dead because it is my favourite story mode game of all this. And if you are into chill games then I would recommend you Firewatch.
All these games are wonderful and you should at least try some of them once in your life so, you can also see how great of a story they have.
Conclusion
My PC have 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics and Intel Pentium Processor. But I still have played and enjoyed all these game in my system and you should too. I always share this in my posts that having a low-end PC does not mean that you can not enjoy good games. All you need are the right games.
