Introduction
The issue of lag and lower FPS is common for all the low-end PC users. While everyone focuses on best settings and mods to reduce lag, choosing the right launcher can also greatly improve performance for low-end systems.
In this post I would share some of those launchers to you which I have personally liked myself on my low-end PC.
All the launchers listed below are lightweight and tested to work on low-end PCs with 4GB RAM.

## 1. Prism Launcher
Prism Launcher is a very lightweight Launcher which offers very simple interface, multiple game instances and it uses fewer resources which makes it perfect for low-end systems.
It is also an open source launcher and pretty safe to use. I have personally used Prism Launcher in my low-end PC and it was working amazingly without any lag or stutter. Out of every other launcher in this list Prism launcher is the best if you just want to play vanilla Minecraft.
## 2. MultiMC
MultiMC is a free open source launcher which focuses on simplicity, multiple instances and optimization for low-end systems. Unlike the official launcher MultiMC can run multiple game instances with different versions without corrupting the settings.
MultiMC is mostly famous because of its simplicity and being able to run multiple game instances with different versions that too on low-end systems so, if you also wants to do any of this stuff in your low-end PC then MultiMC is the best choice to make.
## 3. Official Minecraft Launcher
In terms of security and privacy none of the launchers can come close to the Official Minecraft Launcher. All the updates that comes to Minecraft is added in this launcher before any other which makes it a good choice for someone impatient.
Even though the Official Minecraft Launcher is heavier than other launchers mentioned in this post, it still works fine on a low-end PC with proper in-game and launcher settings.

## 4. ATLauncher
ATLauncher is a very lightweight launcher known for its simple interface and modpacks. ATLauncher contains 142 modpacks at the moment, plus you can install more modpacks from other platforms.
ATLauncher can run smoothly in your low-end PC if you use lightweight mods and optimized settings. If you love to play Minecraft with mods in your low-end PC then I would totally recommend you to go for ATLauncher.
Why Launchers Matters for Performance
Heavyweight launchers focuses on interface and a bit complex design which consume more RAM and CPU usage which makes your game and PC lag because the game is fighting the launcher for RAM and CPU usage.
While lightweight launchers focus on optimization and simple interface and remove the unnecessary things which lower their RAM and CPU usage and improve your game performance.
About Cracked Launchers
Some launchers gives access of Minecraft to players without purchasing the game, However they are not official and have great security and performance issues and I would recommend you to not use them at all.
Using any of the launchers listed above would be a better option since they provide safe and legal experiences.
Which Launcher Should You choose..?
If your have a very low-end PC and prioritize performance then you should go for either Prism Launcher or MultiMC.
If your account is affiliated with your bank and you prioritize safety then you should go for Official Minecraft Launcher.
If you like to try different types of modpacks then you should go for ATLauncher.
Personal Experience
I have personally tried these launchers listed above and I would recommend you to atleast try these launchers and choose the one to your liking.
I have tested the optimization of these launchers in my own low-end PC with Intel HD Graphics.
